This morning is the
Fourth SUNDAY of ADVENT, tonight is the
VIGIL fo
r CHRISTMAS and tomorrow is CHRISTMAS DAY. Wow! The spiritual transition of the
Fourth SUNDAY of ADVENT and
CHRISTMAS is like a lightning. As if God cannot wait any longer to be born in our hearts. What a
BLESSING! It comes rapidly! What a
LOVE! It is really everlasting!
Indeed, God’s overwhelming blessing and love cannot be controlled by space and time; they had brokenthrough two thousand years ago, but it’s happening again today through the holy visit of the angel Gabriel to Mary. Read carefully how the message was given and how it was received:
The angel Gabriel said:
“Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you...Do not be afraid, for you have found favor from God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you shall name him Jesus.” Mary said,
“Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.”
In the silence of your heart, just imagine that the angel’s words to Mary are addressed to you personally:
you are “full of grace, the Lord is with you, you have found favor from God!” Cherish the angel Gabriel’s words, and most importantly believe that God is rapidly preparing your hearts for his coming tonight.
As we nurture the words of the angel to us, let us make some quick and honest resolutions to do today – as an individual and as a family, in order to receive the Savior tonight with so much blessings and love:
I will speak a word of encouragement and support to fellow workers, a family member, a neighbor, and a stranger whose actions touched my life, and tell them: “You are full of grace!
I will try my best to forgive someone who hurt me badly, and ask for forgiveness from people I inflicted pain in their lives, and tell them: “The Lord is with you!”
I will let go of some activities so that I will have more quality time for my family and for my Church this Christmas Season, and say, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word!”
Today and for Christmas, this is my prayer for all of you:
“You were held in the warmth of God’s
LOVE; and wherever
LOVE is born, it is
CHRISTMAS; you are
BLESSED, and may you be a
BLESSING TO ALL!”
