"Healing the Wounded “Bride of Christ”
As concerned Catholics, how can we heal the deeply polarized and wounded spirit within the Church? Uncertainty and differences of opinion regarding aborƟon, homosexuality, ordination of women, and sexual scandals and the cover‐up by the clergy have left many disillusioned and wondering if we need Church reform, such as Vatican III. This talk will explore the lives of several 16th and 17th century saints and reformers who renewed and rebuilt the One, Holy, Catholic & Apostolic Church following the Reformation era, including, St. Catherine of Genoa, St. Ignatius of Loyola, St. Francis Xavier, Pope Pius V, Charles Borromeo, St. Francis De Sales, St. Teresa of Avila, and St. John of the Cross.
Marian Pathways to the Trinity in Prayer and Healing
Sr. Maria Goretti, T.M., using her gifts of song and Divine praise, will share the importance of Marian devoƟon, and how this profound Trinitarian spirituality shapes and moves in her life. She will provide a historical background of the miracle of Guadalupe, an understanding of the deep bonds that Our Blessed Mother Mary has with Mexico and our Hispanic communiƟes, and Our Lady’s role with the Most Holy Trinity in fostering inner healing and the need for prayer and reconciliaƟon in all areas of family life and relaƟonships.
The Healing Gift of God
Healing will be discussed in the various ways that God touches us:
1) Through the IncarnaƟon, God’s giŌ of redeeming mercy,
2) Through a deeper love and union with the Trinity, and
3) Through our growth in humility and joy in communion with the
Christ Child.
